Pastor, Anthony Smith Sr., the oldest of three siblings, was born and raised in Houston, TX, to the parents of Judith Ann Smith and James Battle, Jr. As a child, he was baptized at St. Mark Baptist Church in Memphis, TN.  While growing up in Houston, TX he attended Greater Mt. Zion where the late Rev. G.E. Gibbs was the Pastor.  He also attended Holy Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor Richard Rose.

Pastor Anthony received his High School diploma from James Madison in 1988. In 1994, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX.  He was commisioned to the United States Navy.   Years later after being stationed in Norfolk Virginia and growing in his relationship with God Pastor Anthony Smith, Sr. soon realized his true calling to the ministry and was licensed as an Evangelist at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Norfolk, VA where Bishop C.V Russell Jr. is the Pastor.

As he was growing in the Lord at Mt. Carmel he also met and fell in love with a beautiful woman of God, Janeifer Claud Smith, that later became his wife.  After marriage in January of 2001 they relocated to Northern Virginia.  They attended the New Samaritan Baptist Church in Washington, DC, where Bishop Michael V. Kelsey is the Pastor.  Pastor Smith was active in the Men’s Ministry and the Social Action Leadership Team (SALT) Ministry.

In obedience to the Lords Calling, Pastor Anthony Smith came under the leadership, guidance and love of Bishop, Albert Evans Jr. of  International Fellowship of Covenant Churches and Ministries (IFCCM) where he was later ordained as an Elder and consecrated as the Pastor of Forever Deliverance Ministry in Fairfax Virginia.
